I went to an Indian food shop in Peterborough. Outside the shop they had a big selection of vegetables. The people in the shop helped us to work out what vegetables were what, as we hadn’t seen some of them before.

We decided to make a traditional Indian curry and picked traditional Indian vegetables, which were Indian potatoes, Indian pumpkin, okra, aubergine, spinach and courgette to make it with. Then we went inside the shop and choose the shop special spice mix to make our sauce with, we also bought some lentils.

On Tuesday evening mum and I made the curry. We served it with yoghurt and mint sauce, rice and pathia. We ate it later that night and it was delicious! Some of the vegetables I hadn’t even tried before, I found them delicious. The okra had a similar texture to green beans. The sauce was very spicy but it was still really nice, so I had to drink lots of milkshake and water to cool my mouth down.
